Mubasher: Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) has appointed Omar Wahby as the bank's CEO in the UAE, according to a press release.

With a 25-year experience, Wahby has started his career as an investment banker in Egypt and occupied senior roles in a number of top institutions, including BNP Paribas and Citibank.

Wahby was also the Deputy CEO of the International Banking Group at the National Bank of Kuwait.

The Group CEO of ABK, George Richani, said: "He has an excellent track record of strong leadership, both in Kuwait and the MENA region, and I am certain that he will grow the UAE business, and add great all round value to the Group."
